About Me

Expertise

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker. I have a BS in Psychology and an MA in Human Services from Liberty  University, and an MSW from University of Central Florida.

In addition to my formal education, I have many life experiences that help me identify on a personal, empathic level with my clients and their experiences.

With over a decade in the mental health field, I have worked in a variety of settings and capacities - as a peer support specialist, an inpatient psychiatric unit mental health counselor, a community agency therapist, and a private practice therapist.

Approach

I enjoy working with individuals (13 years of age and older), couples, and families.  I welcome all faiths, beliefs, and sexual and gender identities.  My services are client-driven, solution-focused, and growth-centered - my role is to help clients find ways to be their best selves living their best lives in ways that are meaningful to them.

I am trained in multiple modalities - CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), IFS (internal family systems), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), SFBT (solution-focused brief therapy), and MI (motivational interviewing).

Areas of Focus

I utilize an eclectic approach based on individual need, learning style, and pace of healing to help treat a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and grief.

The coaching program specializes in assisting parents who have lost a child, guiding them on a path towards healing and coping with their grief, helping them find their own path forward from my own personal experience.

In supervision, I walk alongside you as you discover your meaningful style of assistance in helping your clients navigate their path to health and well-being.

What I Offer

As a Therapist

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker providing trauma-informed, person-centered mental health care. I work with teens (13+), adults, couples, and families, using an eclectic approach that blends CBT, DBT, SFBT, EMDR, and positive psychology. Each session is tailored to the individual’s unique needs and learning style, with the goal of fostering growth, resilience, and lasting change. My focus is on creating a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel empowered to navigate life’s challenges and strengthen their mental health.

As a Supervisor

In addition to my work with clients, I provide supervision for mental health professionals working toward licensure. My supervision style is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, offering both guidance and collaboration. I draw from my professional experience and case knowledge to help providers deepen their clinical skills, maintain ethical practice, and grow in confidence. My goal is to support emerging therapists as they develop their professional identities and navigate the complexities of clinical work.

As a Grief Coach

I offer a supportive space for parents who have endured the unimaginable loss of a child. This program is designed to walk alongside parents in their grief journey

— helping them move from feelings of being lost and overwhelmed toward moments of peace, connection, and meaning. Through approaches that engage the parasympathetic nervous system, I support calming the body’s stress responses while creating room to embrace grief as an ongoing part of one’s story.

As a parent who also lives with this kind of “out of sequence” loss, I bring both lived experience and professional insight into the unique challenges of this journey. Together, we cultivate a compassionate environment that honors profound loss while supporting each parent’s individual path toward healing.
